A blend of carefully chosen materials, functionalism and craftsmanship, perfect to the last detail.\\nFrench calfskin is used – tough but supple, it lends itself to fine crafting and yet is extremely hard-wearing. Grained leather is used for the outer surfaces, with smooth leather on the inside.\\nThe leather is butt-jointed and sewn by hand with an especially strong thread. Great skill and precision are required when using a thread of contrasting colour as every stitch is visible and each must be perfect. The leather used has been tanned using a specially gentle and environmentally-friendly process, an advantage of which is that the leather does not encourage tarnishing of silver writing instruments.
